How to Order and Buy
You can buy directly from the website by following the on screen prompts in our online shop. All prices shown are in (GBP) sterling.
We prefer payments made by Credit/debit cards using PayPal. PayPal is a worldwide secure payment site where accounts are free and take only a few minutes to set up; all that is required is an email address. Please use the PayPal link here and follow the instructions to create an account before buying from our shop. Every effort is made to dispatch goods within 2 working days of receipt of payment by PayPal.
You can also pay by cheque or postal order if you are a UK customer. Make cheques payable to Jan Sears and send to the address below with the description of the item you wish to buy. Please also include your name, address, telephone number and email address. Orders paid for by cheque require 7 days for clearance prior to the goods being dispatched.

Postage and Packing
Costs in the UK are listed on each items description in the shop. All orders are sent First Class using Royal Mail; should you require insurance or special delivery please email Hetty Hesketh for fees. Postage will automatically be added to your order at the Hetty Hesketh checkout.
Hetty Hesketh can deliver bags worldwide, if you are ordering from outside the UK please email for postage costs.
Hetty believes passionately in recycling and asks for customers' understanding in this matter with regard to packaging.
If in the unlikely event we are unable to supply you with the item(s) ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible to offer an alternative or full refund.
Hetty Hesketh cannot be held responsible for late or non-delivery of orders caused by the postal or courier services used, or for any other reason outside of our control.
Damages/Shortfalls
Orders must be checked when the goods arrive, with notification of damage or shortfall being made within 2 working days of receipt of goods.
Returns
We take pride in our products and customer service. If the product does not meet your expectations upon arrival, please email us with your comments. Hetty Hesketh will accept goods back for a full refund provided they are received in their original, unused condition.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are properly protected, in their original packaging for their return. Therefore, please ensure that all goods returned are sent by Special Delivery to guarantee delivery and insurance. Return postage costs will only be refunded if the goods are deemed faulty. Once the refund has been processed we will email you a confirmation.
Online payments will be refunded by the original payment method used. Postal refunds will be made by cheque in (GBP) sterling. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Colour and Production
All our hand crafted items are unique and individual. Most items are made using vintage or old materials. Please note that colours and shades may vary slightly due to the images available or the technology used to access the website. Please read the product description for full product details or email us if you have any questions about an item before you buy it.
Product Care
The materials used vary from item to item. We suggest spot cleaning with a damp cloth on bags, or for heaving soiling we recommend that you seek the advice of a professional dry cleaner.
Retention of Title
Hetty Hesketh retains copyright and all intellectual property rights in the design of our products and sites. All goods remain our property until payment is made in full in settlement.
Your Privacy
Hetty Hesketh does not disclose your personal information to any third parties. The information that we collect about you will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and used in order to process orders and/or provide information via our email news should you opt to receive them.
Legal Notices
These conditions are subject to English law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. In placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated on this website in accordance with English law. Once payment for your order has cleared, Hetty Hesketh will dispatch the ordered goods in accordance with our delivery conditions. The contract will be deemed legally binding on both parties on confirmation from Hetty Hesketh of clearance of payment and dispatch of ordered goods.
Hetty Hesketh reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. However, the terms that apply will be those on display at the time that an order was received.
