All Hetty Hesketh bags and accessories are made in a tiny studio by the sea in North Devon. Using vintage items, books, photographs and materials for inspiration we try to make truly unique useable pieces. With much encouragement from friends and family this is a hobby which has quickly become an all consuming passion for finding the perfect button or piece of lace.

Hetty's bags and purses are made from reclaimed materials making each bag unique. Sourcing the fabric is as pleasurable as making the bags, such a joy to find a lovely piece of velvet that goes exactly with a piece hidden amongst the ever increasing pile in our workroom. Decorations on bags and purses are made from materials to compliment each item sometimes using beads buttons and hand sewing. The materials, colours and textures are as important to us as the designs and techniques used in creating. This is true for our 'finishing touches' as well as our textile work.
